Dress Rehearsal
Friday June 11th @ Maryvalle High School
Call time for all dancers in Act 1– 4:30 pm
Call time for all dancers in Act 2– 6:15 pm
Please arrive in full costume with hair and make-up done. We will be rehearsing the finale between acts @ approximately 6:30 pm. Students are dismissed after they rehearse their last routine. You may take pictures or videotape on this day ONLY. This is also the day for the students to enjoy the dances from the audience because they will not be allowed in the audience on show day.
THE SHOW
Sunday June 13th @ 2:00 pm
Call time for ALL dancers is 12:30 pm
Please arrive in full costume with hair and make-up done. One parent or guardian will need to escort their child to the dressing room and then exit the building or wait in foyer for the auditorium doors to open @ 1:30 pm. There will be chaperones in charge who will stay with your child in the dressing room throughout the night. There will be no video cameras allowed. Also, no flash photography during the show as it is a distraction to the dancers and the video. Anyone videotaping or using flash photography will be asked to leave the building. We are having the show professionally videotaped. You may purchase a copy anytime on rehearsal day or show day. At the completion of the show one parent or guardian may pick up their child in the dressing room. The show will last about 1 1/2 hours.
Students will not be allowed in the audience at any time during the show.
General rules for Rehearsal & Show
- No food or drink in the auditorium.
- Students are allowed to have ONLY WATER in the dressing room-NO food or other drinks allowed.
- No jewelry of any kind. If needed you may replace piercings with clear spacers. If piercings cannot be removed you may cover them with Band-Aids.
- No gum, No underwear, No nail polish.
- We want our dancers to look as clean and professional as possible. Please make sure hair is slicked back neatly into low bun or other style specified by teacher.
- We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
- We are so excited for our fifth show; it’s going to be GREAT!

Hair and Makeup
Make up for all classes - earth tones - NO blue eyeshadow or red lipstick
Hairstyle for the following:
Babies - hair in bun parted over the right eye.
Creepshow/Chocolate - Hair in bun parted over the right eye. NO bangs, SLICK AND SECURE!!!!!
It's Tricky - hair remains in bun if in another number. If only in hip hop then hair can be done in any style that is pulled back, away from the face, and secure with NO bangs. Bangs must be gelled and pinned back.
Family Feud - same as It's Tricky
Cinema Italiano - Hair in bun parted over right eye
Rockin' Robin - Hair in high pony tail and curled - one bow is secured to right hip and the other bow is to be worn on the left side of the pony tail
Fire Burnin' - Hair will stay the same if in another number otherwise hair can be done in any style that is pulled back, away from the face, and secure with NO bangs. Bangs must be gelled and pinned back.
Don't Bring Lulu - Hair in bun parted over the right eye
Shoppers - Hair remains in bun
Transformers - hair in bun parted over the right
Teen company - Bun parted over the right - you know what to do
Please make sure all hats, headbands, and visors either have elastic or are securely bobby pinned using twice as many as you think you need. Please make sure hair nets and bobby pins are the same color as your hair.
Rehearsal Fee
Rehearsal fee is $15 per student due by Friday April 16th
Tickets- $13 each
Tickets go on sale Wednesday May 27th Tickets can only be purchased during the following times at the studio: Mondays 6-8 pm Tuesdays 5-8:45pm Wednesdays 4:30-8pm Thursdays 5-9pm &Fridays 7-8 pm They can also be purchased at dress rehearsal and at the door the day of the show Tickets cannot be purchased until your account is up to date.

Ads & Patrons
If you would like to put in a patron of support for your child or an ad for your business in the program please fill out the form included with this newsletter. You may include a picture with your patron or ad. More forms are available in the waiting room. All forms including payment must be handed in by Wednesday June 2.
T-Shirts/Flowers
We will be selling show t-shirts as well as flowers on the day of the show.
After Party
We will be having an after party and everyone is welcome to attend. Exact time and location TBA.

Ballet: Leotard & tights, split sole ballet shoes.
Jazz: Leotard & tights, shoes must be a Tan Slip-on split sole.

All Combo Classes: Leotard & tights, tan mary janes, & ballet shoes.
Boys: Fitted t-shirts and shorts (above the knee).

ATTENDANCE:
There are no make-up classes due to the fact that each class progresses at a different rate. Frequent tardiness and/or absentees interrupts the progress of the class, therefore, we stress the utmost importance of having good attendance throughout the season.

- Tuition for the 2009/2010-dance season is divided into 10 payments (September through June)
- Tuition payments are to be paid by the first lesson of each month.
- Tuition payments that are not received by the 7TH of each month will have to pay the increased rate (reflected above)
- Any payment overdue 30 days will deny students entry to his/her class.
- All returned checks are subject to a $30.00 service charge.
(This will result in a loss of privilege to pay by check).
- Students starting in the middle of the month must pay full monthly tuition.
- Tuition will not be refunded for missed classes, vacations, illnesses, snow days, or leaving in the middle of a monthly pay period.
- $60.00 per student per class.
- Due by November 1st!
- A service charge of $5.00 per costume will be applied after this date.
Please Note:
No costume will be ordered until payment is made in full. Costumes that exceed $60.00 will have a balance due as soon as the full costume price is determined. Until all balances are paid in full, students will not receive costumes. Costume deposits and or costumes are non-refundable.

Our first event planned for this year is the Adrenaline Dance Convention, which is held February 19th - February 21st in Detroit, MI.
This is a great experience for your child and we highly recommend your participation. The students will be taking classes with professional teachers and choreographers from throughout the United States.

- Jrs: $150 (Ages 9-12)
- Teens (13+) & Srs (16+): $175

We are looking into chartering a bus for this event. We will let you know as soon as possible.
We will be having several fundraisers to help cover the costs of this event. The first fundraiser will be selling candy bars.
Price per case $30 (50 bars) - You receive 40% profit ($20/case)
Another event will be The WNY Dance Championships Competition (locally) the weekend of May 15th
The fees for this are approximately $18 per dance/per student per dance
